Hello Everyone,

Things are changing quite rapidly for our family these days. As a lot of you may have known, we were out of the Ellwood City area for about three weeks at the beginning of May. Since our return, things have been fast and furious. So much has happened, probably the biggest thing is that we moved out of our apartment at the end of May. We aren’t sure where we will land permanently, but believe that we are to take June and July and seek the Lord about what He has for us.

During this time, we will be visiting friends and family here in the Pittsburgh/Youngstown area, the Chattanooga, Tn area and Wilmington, NC. We plan on being around here (Western PA) approx. 10 days a month and being out and about the rest of the time.

What will we be doing?

1. Our biggest priority is to spend time together as a family, seeking the Lord about what is next for us. We sense some major transitions taking place in and around us. Our hearts are to stay connected to the people that we have been building relationship with here in the Ellwood City area, but we sense that our function is changing. We are praying about how we fit into what the Lord is doing in the region, how we are to connect with others, and who we are to be investing in during this upcoming season.

2. We will also be spending time with family and friends as we wait on the Lord. I believe that it is important to connect with life-giving relationships during this season. I wish we could come and spend time with all of our friends and family, but we will not be able to spend time with everyone that we want to. Pray that we will have the wisdom to see where and how we spend our time in this season.

3. We will be working and trying to transition into our new “jobs”. Most of you know that the last half of ‘06 and first half of ‘07 have been very difficult for our family and ministry financially. After praying and waiting and trying to hear what God was saying about how He wanted to provide for our family, Adriane and I have started working together as Tastefully Simple (TS)consultants. While we do not believe that TS is the answer to all of our needs, we are excited about working together, and the doors that we believe the Lord is opening for us there. Basically, we find people that will allow us to throw taste-testing parties in their homes. So far it has been a lot of fun, and I have been excited to see how this can be a part of God’s provision for us. Adriane has been working with TS since February and is amazing. She completed all of her stages in a three month incentive program called “Party to Success”. I joined her in May and we are looking forward to being able to really partner together to help each other be the best we can be.

Selling food is not my life’s call, but we are having fun, and see the Lord’s hand in this for a season. (By the way, we are asking all of our friends and partners to think and pray about hosting a taste-testing party for us. We know that this would be out of the norm for some of you, but it would bless us if you have a “yes” in your heart.) It has been kind of funny to see how the Lord has been working. After months have being frustrated about trying to “fund-raise” so we can minister, as we have surrendered to this “silly” taste-testing business we have received word from some friends that they feel like now is the time to start financially supporting us. Praise the Lord!

Financially, our desire is to be free to live and give ourselves and resources without the burden of debt or trying to make things happen so we can minister. Continue to pray that the Lord will lead and guide us into His perfect path regarding these areas.
PRAYER NEEDS

1. Please continue to pray for Lee Myers. He is a friend and an amazing young man who the Lord has used to make a huge impact on many lives. He has been a student leader on the campus have Allegheny College for the past several years. God has used Lee to call people into a life style of all out devotion to Jesus as well as using him to bring healing to the sick and injured. Lee is suffering from cancer right now. It is a bone cancer that has attacked his leg. The treatment options are few, and if we do not see a miracle in Lee’s body, the doctors are scheduling a time to amputate his leg.

I believe that there is an attack against the calling and destiny on Lee’s life. I am not trying to hype things up, I sincerely believe that Lee carries a calling and an anointing that could/will see campuses, businesses and even nations impacted for the kingdom. There is definitely a problem in Lee’s body, but I really believe that there is an incredible spiritual attack going on against my friend. I believe that Lee will love the Lord with leg or no-leg, but that is not the point. I do not want to see the enemy steal, kill and destroy in the life of one of God’s children. Jesus has already paid for this disease to be destroyed. Please pray for the Kingdom to come in Lee’s spirit and body. Pray that the attack against Lee and the calling on his life would be soundly defeated and even that the purposes of the enemy would be humiliated.
I know that there are times when we press in to see the Lord work, and things don’t work out like we think they should. I also know that God is faithful to work everything out for the good of his children, but let’s not allow those realities shake us from pursuing the truth that Jesus told us to seek the Father’s will to be done here (and now) just like it is in heaven.

2. While we are looking forward to spending a lot of time together as a family over the next few months, we are aware that being “vagabonds” will have it’s share of inconveniences. (We have only been out of the apartment for a few days, and we miss our bed.) Please pray that we will walk in the grace that the Father has provided for us in this season. Pray that we will see what He is arranging for us on each leg of our travels and are time at home. And pray that our family will be free to receive the love of the Father as we take time to be with Him. We need to be at home in His love.

3. Pray for our finances. Pray that our business will do well and that we will be excellent stewards of what we have. We have some bills to catch up on, we are believing God for breakthrough to be debt-free and the tenacity to work hard at what He has for us to do during the season of our lives.

4. Pray for our team/ community. As you can imagine, the transition that our family is going through is having a great impact on the rest of our little tribe. Pray for Mark and Cori DeRoza and their children. Please pray that God will give them a lot of wisdom as they are trying to nurture relationships with those we have been building as a team. Pray for their finances. Mark has had several jobs fall through , and they need to see how the Lord wants to provide for them. Also pray for my sister, Amy McKoy. She has been such a vital part of our team and she is really seeking the Lord about His best for her. Her job as a “wrap-around” is winding down with the end of school approaching. She has some possibilities for summer work. Amy wants to see what the Lord has for her and be in the middle of His will. Please pray for Karen and Bethany. These are two teenage girls that we have become really close to. Both of them have grown so much in the Lord over the past year. Pray for them during this transition time. Pray that the Lord will strengthen them and build them up as we are going through change as a community of faith.
5. THIS JUST IN… As we were preparing to send out this update, we got word that doctors found a “suspicious” mass on my dad’s thyroid. They think it is cancer, but they have not done the biopsy yet. We are praying that whatever the doctors saw, would be gone when they try to find it again, and that my dad would be physically healthy and whole. Thank you for praying with us about this.

STAYING IN TOUCH…

The unthinkable happened on our trip to TN. I lost my cell phone. That means, until I either get my phone back or we figure out how to get another one, we might be hard to reach. It also means that I have lost all 597 of my phone numbers. Right now, we are Amy is with us, so if you need to reach us, you can call her at 724.624.0497 and I will get back to you.

One more thing. I have been updating a blog that I started back in January. We are planning on using the blog to keep people informed as to what is going on. The blog is located at http://bradriane.wordpress.com and you can subscribe to receive updates by email. This is probably the best way to keep track of us.

God’s blessings to all of you,

Brad, Adriane & Abigail
